PLAN GAME: Ecocykle Launches a Fundraising Campaign to educate 10,000 Young Environmental Champions in Nigeria

Get ready! Ecocykle Development Foundation has just launched a game to achieve this vision. 

We are pleased to introduce to you the innovative environmental education tool, a card game for young people. We have just launched a fundraising campaign aimed at supporting the empowerment of 10,000 young people in Nigeria with adequate resources for environmental awareness to become environmental champions in their respective schools and communities.

The “Play Learn and Act Now (PLAN)” is an innovative environmental game that aims to bridge the environmental education gap and inspire climate action amongst young people towards promoting the achievement of a more sustainable future. The game, currently in 5 countries, has been endorsed by the Nigerian Government.

The future existence of planet earth is threatened by three planetary crises; climate change, biodiversity loss and pollution. The role of education and capacity building for young people, especially those living in vulnerable communities, towards achieving a sustainable future becomes highly imperative. 

If nothing is done to urgently address the current climate crisis and environmental degradation, the world will experience more extreme weather events which will result in increased poverty, decaying human health, lesser access to education, heat stress, biodiversity loss, and food insecurity, amongst others.
